Keep your eyes peeled for our new trees... almost all of our Grow Back Together pits are now dug and the trees will be coming soon!
Restoring Lewisham's tree lined streets .
You may have seen 'Tree here' stencils popping up on Lewisham's pavements in spring, marking places where old trees used to be and where new trees will be planted very soon. Nearly a hundred of you have adopted a street tree and agreed to care for it for 3 years. Thank you :)
The council's contractors have now started digging the pits and will complete the planting of the trees in the coming weeks.
Check out the Grow Back Together map to see where the trees will be planted. The locations have been selected in areas where new trees are needed most, and were chosen using the Grow Back Greener funding criteria prioritising areas of:
Low air quality
High flood risk
Low number of trees
If you see a tree in your area with the following poster then it needs you! If you'd like to help look after it then get in touch: hello@growbacktogether.org
